Real story of Chief Engineer, PWD (Part IV)

 

This letter was in reference to my complaint regarding “Encroachment of PWD” and was forwarded by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to the Collector, Daman who is also a Director of Public Grievances, Daman & Diu.

In connection to the RTI request, the PIO of the office of the Collector has informed that they have there is no reference of a said letter received in this office but I am producing this letter here which also shows that it was received on dated 16/12/2013 with inward number 9239.

 Further, I am also producing here a letter from Sh. Gauravsingh Rajawat, the Collector, Daman dated 03/01/2014 addressed to the Superintending Engineer, PWD, Daman, with the remark that “In this connection, matter does not pertain to this office”

I think he did not know that as a Collector of Daman, he also hold charge of the Director of Public Grievances, Daman & Diu and he thought that Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions by mistake sent him this letter which he corrected by sending it to the Superintending Engineer, PWD, Daman.

These letters prove that the PIO, office of the Collector, Daman has provided false information under the RTI Act, 2005 and I will be going to complain about this to the Authorities to take appropriate action on the PIO.
